In order to help as many people as possible, the American Veterans Institute asks you to please e-mail your questions, AFTER carefully reviewing this site.
We cannot accept phone calls or mail inquiries because we are a very small non-profit operation and we must direct our efforts to maintaining our website and responding to the hundreds of e-mail inquiries we receive. We try to answer each e-mail personally, even those that do not deal specifically with the Improved Pension. Please do not send us your pension application. We are not the VA and cannot process the forms. You can also contact your local Veterans Services Officer for help filling out the forms or with questions not related to the Improved Pension. VetAssist will work with veterans, surviving spouses, and family members to guide their efforts to file a claim for a VA Improved Pension. There is no charge for this service.
Please tell other veterans and family members about the pension so that those who are in need of help have a handy resource that is easy to access, user-friendly, and dedicated to serving the needs of veterans and their families.
This program is made possible by the American Veterans Institute. All donations to AVI are tax-deductible. We would like to invite you to share in helping us support America’s veterans and their families. Your donation will allow us to better respond to our veterans in need. Your donation will mean that an elderly veteran may be able to afford the assisted living care he needs…or a surviving spouse can remain in her home and receive home health services. You may indicate whether you wish for the donation to go specifically to the VetAssist program or to AVI’s general efforts to develop events, initiatives and programs that support and honor America’s veterans.
